Liberia National Mining Information System

Purpose: To increase and improve access to information on mining in Liberia.
Description: An online mining portal is a tool that will be used to host all information on the mining sector. This information includes a list of mining concessions in Liberia; types of minerals extracted in each concession; quantities of minerals extracted per concession; published mining research; environmental standards; statistics and mining maps for public use.

Activities:

  • Develop a mining portal
  • Develop and integrate mining content from both public and private institutions
  • Increase awareness and sensitization around this initiative

  • Information on the mining industry easily accessible
  • Increased investment within the mining industry
